Site Structure

The site has two regions, the top navigation area, and the main region.

Top navigation area contains 6 buttons that effect actons that are not directly linked to a course video. The buttons enable you to:

Toggle the accessibility view mode
Show this help panel
Resume the last video where you left off
Show the list of available resources
Search all of the material
Show your account details

The main region has three modes of operation, Table of Contents, Search Results, and the Video player

The Table of Contents contains links which are structured as a hierachy of chapter within video within course within category Each link acts as either a play button (if it is a video) or a buy button

There are many chapters so the first thing in the section is a button that allows you to toggle thier visibility. This is followed by the search function entry box and buttons. The buttons, enable you to execute the search, clear the search, search within the last results, and show the search history.

In search panel mode the Table of Contents hides the chapters, adds the transcript for each video, then hides any entries that do not contain the search terms,

The video player can be set to show as the video itself, or have the transcript overlayed on top of it. The video control bar is always visible, and has a number of buttons and information on it, these are as follows:

The Play pause button
A drop-down Menu that allows you to jump to different places, that are;
1. Restart this module from the beginning
2. Jump forward one paragraph
3. Jump forward one chapter
4. Jump forward to the next Module
5. Jump back one paragraph
6. Jump back one chapter
7. Jump back to previous Module
A Mute toggle, and sound level slider
A Progress Slider that can be dragged to change the video position
A drop-down that lets you adjust the speed of playback
Pause to Share button that opens a popup containing the direct link to this point in the video
A copy status button that puts the current paragraph text, and a direct link to the position in the video into the clipboard, so that you can paste this into any other document.
Search this Video
A drop down menu that lets you change what's on view, it has the following possibilities:
1. Show the Table of Contents
2. Show the Transcript
3. Show the Table of contents and focus on the search input
4. Show the notes panel, this panel has some buttons for managing your notes, and a text area to take notes in. The panel is a draggable region that sits on top of the video player
5. Return to the video view
